Part-time hourly faculty pools are maintained on a continuous basis, allowing the division to contact qualified applicants immediately when a need arises. Applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be contacted by the respective department supervisors, deans, and/or division chairs. Applications remain active for up to two years.

This pool is used to staff part‑time adjunct positions. Successful candidates will be expected to teach, develop curriculum, assess student learning, and participate in recruitment and articulation activities.

• Master’s degree in the interdisciplinary area
• OR Master's in one of the disciplines included in the interdisciplinary area and upper‑division or graduate coursework in at least one other constituent discipline
• OR the equivalent; submit an APPLICATION FOR EQUIVALENCY with supporting documents
• Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students

• Work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues in an environment that promotes innovation, teaching, learning, and service to a diverse student population
• Work effectively with students with a wide range of skills, motivations, academic, and vocational goals
• Develop curriculum, including curriculum delivered via different modalities
• Participate in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges, and universities
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Maintain subject‑matter currency
• Assess student learning outcomes
• Have knowledge of computers and willingness to explore new technologies that benefit the program
• Commitment to the California community college mission

Applicants with foreign degrees must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of NACES or ACEI, and submit the evaluation with the application.
