Position: Biology Instructor, Part-time Adjunct Pool (PC)

Overview

Kern Community College District seeks part-time, hourly adjunct instructors in the Natural Science department. This is a temporary adjunct position with salary listed at $66.00–$67.00 per hour (depending on assignment and LHE formula). Applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools are accepted on a continuous basis to contact qualified applicants when needs arise. The selection process includes a screening committee and may limit interviews.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
  • Masters in any biological science
  • OR Bachelor's in any biological science AND Master's in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science
  • OR the equivalent. Candidates with equivalent qualifications may submit an APPLICATION FOR EQUIVALENCY form with supporting documents.
  • A demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community college students
  • Degrees and credits from accredited institutions (
