• Provide instruction across a full range of nursing topics.
• Teach in various formats, including day, evening, weekend, large classes, distance learning, and multiple teaching methodologies.
• Participate in student recruitment and articulation programs.
• Maintain subject‑matter currency; develop and revise curriculum.
• Use computer and multimedia technology to enhance learning.
• Collaborate collegially in departmental, college, and discipline‑specific professional activities.

• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Or Bachelor’s in Nursing and a Master’s in Health Education or Health Science.
• Or qualifications as set by the Board of Registered Nursing, whichever is higher.
• Equivalency considered for combinations of education, experience, and accomplishments. Submit an APPLICATION FOR EQUIVALENCE with supporting documents.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
• Degrees and credits from accredited institutions (Title V Section 53406). Foreign degrees (including Canada, Great Britain) must be evaluated by a recognized service.

• Work effectively with colleagues and students in a diverse learning environment.
• Develop and deliver curriculum in multiple modalities.
• Engage in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges, and universities.
• Communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Maintain subject‑matter currency.
• Assess student learning outcomes.
• Utilize computers and be open to new technologies that benefit the program.
• Commitment to the California community college mission.
