Aeronautics Instructor, Part-time Adjunct Pool (East Kern)

Salary: $67.00 per hour

Kern Community College District is soliciting applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors. The starting salary range is $67.00 per hour; the rate may vary based on assignment type.

• Provide instruction in a full range of aeronautical courses.
• Teach at various campus sites, including day, evening, weekend, large, distance learning, and using multiple teaching methodologies.
• Participate in student recruitment and articulation of transfer programs.
• Maintain subject matter currency and develop and revise curriculum.
• Use computer and multimedia technology; participate collegially in department, college, and discipline-specific professional activities.

• Any bachelor's degree AND two years of professional experience OR Any associate's degree AND six years of professional experience.
• Equal to the stated minimum qualifications – submit APPLICATION FOR EQUIVALENCE form.
• A demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
• Degrees and credits must be from accredited institutions (Title V Section 53406).

• Work with students with a wide range of skills, motivations, academic, and vocational goals.
• Develop curriculum, including modalities.
