Join Inside Higher Ed at the Kern Community College District (Bakersfield Community College). This part‑time adjunct instructor pool supports the Business Management/Information Technology and Engineering departments. The starting hourly salary is $66.00, payable per lecture hour equivalent.

• Teach courses in computer information systems per department needs.
• Develop and deliver curriculum, including multiple modalities.
• Work effectively with colleagues in an inclusive, innovative learning environment.
• Engage students with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Maintain subject‑matter currency and assess student learning outcomes.
• Participate in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges, and universities.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Explore and apply new technologies to benefit the program.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher plus at least two years of professional experience; or associate degree with six years of experience.
• Professional experience must be directly related to the teaching assignment, especially for candidates with a master’s degree.
• Equivalency accepted via application for equivalence with supporting documents.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse student populations.
• Accredited degrees; foreign degrees evaluated per NACES/ACEI requirements.
