Current Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate and/or criminal background clearance by Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics or reading readiness, writing readiness and mathematics readiness as appropriate
- Demonstrated ability or willingness to work with children of diverse ethnic, racial, cultural, educational and economic backgrounds
- Demonstrated abilities in a variety of physical education techniques, including formal sports, games, rhythms, and fundamentals of body movement
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Interest in enhancing student school attendance, positive behavior and well-being
- Adheres to full implementation of program guidelines and procedures of the Extended Learning Program
- Assists in developing and implementing physical education activities for participating students
- Works with individual students and groups of students as needed
- Works with parents and staff in promoting understanding of extended day program
- Participates in inservice training programs as needed
- Assists in providing a variety of activities related to physical fitness, fine arts, recreation, and prevention of unhealthful and inappropriate behavior
- Assists in selection of supplies, materials, and equipment
- Assists in maintaining necessary records and files
- Maintains high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students
- Models personal and professional values of equity, integrity, caring, collaboration, personal and collective accountability
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Verification of one (1) of the following: two years (48 semester units) of study at an accredited college or university; an associate’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university; passage of BCSD Paraprofessional Test; or CBEST

REPORTS TO: Administrator as assigned
JOB GOAL: To assist school staff in developing and implementing meaningful, well-organized extended day physical education program for participating students
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres to full implementation of program guidelines and procedures of the Extended Learning Program
- Assists in developing and implementing physical education activities for participating students
- Works with individual students and groups of students as needed
- Works with parents and staff in promoting understanding of extended day program
- Participates in inservice training programs as needed

SALARY: $20.03 - $32.55 per hour
NOTE: 10 month positions:
Annual salary is divided into eleven equal monthly installments
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the District’s “Improvement of Professional Services” handbook, Board Policies and Procedures, and consistent with collective bargaining agreements when applicable
NEW PROBATIONARY EMPLOYEES AND PERMANENT EMPLOYEES WHO BECOME PROBATIONARY UPON RECLASSIFICATION:
