Basic FunctionKern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. This allows the division to contact qualified applicants immediately if a need arises, without waiting for a new advertisement. Applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be contacted by department supervisors, deans, or division chairs if there is an interest and/or need within the specific department.
Applications submitted will remain active for up to two years.
Kern Community College District is seeking applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors. The starting salary is $66.00/hour, with rates potentially varying based on assignment type and the Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula. Representative DutiesThis pool is for staffing part-time adjunct positions in the discipline of accounting.
Minimum Qualifications- Master's in accountancy or business administration with an accounting concentration
- OR Bachelor's in business with an accounting emphasis or business administration with an accounting emphasis or economics with an accounting emphasis AND Master's in business, business administration, business education, economics, taxation, finance, or the equivalent

Candidates claiming equivalency must submit an Application for Equivalence with supporting documents.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of diverse backgrounds of community college students.
Degrees and credits must be from accredited institutions. Foreign degrees require evaluation by a recognized evaluation service.
