Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. This allows the division to contact qualified applicants immediately if a need arises, without waiting for a new advertisement. Kern Community College District is seeking applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors. The starting salary is $66.00/hour, with rates potentially varying based on assignment type and the Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula. For more details, consult the CCA collective bargaining agreement or your college HR office.

This pool is for staffing part-time adjunct positions in the discipline of accounting.

• Master's in accountancy or business administration with an accounting concentration
• OR Bachelor's in business with an accounting emphasis or business administration with an accounting emphasis or economics with an accounting emphasis AND Master's in business, business administration, business education, economics, taxation, finance, or the equivalent

  A bachelor's degree in accountancy or business administration with an accounting concentration, with a CPA license, is an alternative qualification.)
• OR the equivalent, judged through education, experience, or other accomplishments. Candidates claiming equivalency must submit an Application for Equivalence with supporting documents.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of diverse backgrounds of community college students.

Degrees and credits must be from accredited institutions. Foreign degrees require evaluation by a recognized evaluation service.
