We are seeking an organized and self-motivated Administrative Assistant who will be handling clerical duties, coordinating calendars, and organizing meetings. To be successful in this position you should be detail-oriented, professional and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation: $18 - $21 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time
Location:
Ed Helm Monument Company (Funeral Home) located in Bakersfield, CA.
Qualifications
* Design and drawing skills (hand sketching or digital design).
* Creativity and strong attention to detail.
* Basic knowledge of typography and memorial symbols.
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* 2+ years of administrative or bookkeeping experience.
* computer proficiency and with spreadsheets, templates, and invoices.
* High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Google Docs.
* Proficiency with multi-line phone systems and general office equipment; and
* Artistic but also notices spacing issues, understands visual balance, can format names and dates cleanly.
Job Duties
* Design headstones, mausoleums, plaques, statues, and cemetery memorials.
* Prepare engraving layouts including text, artwork, and symbols.
* Ensure designs comply with cemetery regulations and size requirements.
* Collaborate with stone cutters, engravers, and installers during production.
* Revise designs based on client feedback
* Maintain design records, specifications, and project documentation.
* Coordinates and maintains office supplies and equipment.
* Serves as a backup in other administrative functions as needs dictate; and
* Inputs data into CFSS system accurately, completely, and timely.
* Assists client families with processing necessary paperwork and scheduling appointments.
* Receives and records payments from client families.
