QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge of purchasing procedures

- Ability to learn and apply policies, practices, and terminology used in purchasing supplies and materials for a school district
- Ability to perform a variety of clerical support duties (filing and record keeping)
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to communicate well with personnel and the public
- Audit purchase requests for vendor names, budget allocation, and appropriate authorization prior to preparing purchase orders
- Prepare and process purchase orders on the computer system and disseminate assigned purchase orders to proper schools, departments, and vendors as required
- Complete purchase order follow‑up and expedite assigned purchase orders, incomplete shipments, etc., and notify appropriate school or department personnel of disposition
- Initiate receiving reports in order to expedite processing of payment at Accounts Payable
- Maintain appropriate levels of regular store stock items
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Salary: $20.97 - $34.03 per hour
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the District's "Improvement of Professional Services" handbook, Board Policies and Procedures and consistent with collective bargaining agreements when applicable.

- Typing certificate – 35 net words per minute (valid within three years of the deadline)

Please check with Human Resources regarding acceptable documents. For positions requiring college coursework official transcripts will be required upon employment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTSome positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and the possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operator's license. Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within six (6) weeks of hire and annually thereafter, as required by the California Child Abuse Neglect Reporting Act.
