Staff Accountant

Our client, an established professional services firm in Bakersfield is seeking a Staff Accountant to support internal accounting and financial reporting functions. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing routine accounting processes, and assisting with month-end and year-end close activities.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced professional environment while collaborating with internal teams.

• Maintain and reconcile financial records and routine accounting transactions
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Support internal financial reporting and compliance requirements
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and applicable regulatory standards
• Utilize accounting systems and financial tools to support daily operations
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflows
• Work collaboratively with internal teams while maintaining confidentiality

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Relevant accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a high level of professionalism
• Willingness to learn new systems and take on additional responsibilities
• Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 annually (depending on experience)
