Staff Accountant | Bakersfield, CA | $28–$35/hr

A growing and well-respected organization in Bakersfield is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy of financial records, supporting close processes, and assisting with reporting and analysis. This position works closely with leadership and offers strong exposure to multiple areas of accounting.

Compensation & Benefits:
• $28 – $35 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

• Prepare and post journal entries and accruals

• Perform balance sheet, bank, and account reconciliations

• Maintain and support general ledger accuracy

• Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal reports

• Support audit preparation and documentation requests

• Analyze financial data and assist with process improvements

• Partner with internal departments to support accounting operations

Qualifications:

• Experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Intermediate Excel skills preferred

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required
