ABOUT OUR OPERATION

The objective of Sanajiksanut is to increase Inuit workforce in all of AEM’s Nunavut operations by contributing to the development of skills and competencies of the Inuit population in the Kivalliq region. The Sanajiksanut Process is composed of 4 steps:
Employment Information Session, Online Application, Pre-employment Training, and Employment. In completing these stages of the Sanajiksanut Process, applicants will better prepare themselves for future employment with AEM or one of its contractors.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
  • Attend the 42-day training (3 rotations) at the Meadowbank Complex mine site.
  • Attend all of the training classes and the on-field training related to the Haul Truck Trainee program.
  • Operate Haul Truck Equipment (777 and 785).
  • Follow the Trainer’s instructions at all times.
  • Inspect the working equipment on a daily basis.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Must pass a pre-employment medical exam and be deemed fit to work.
  • Must have a class 5 restricted or unrestricted Nunavut License or Meadowbank driver’s license class.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to work in a team.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written).
  • Position reserved for Inuit Beneficiary candidates.
