Position: Student Rad Tech Baker City Oregon

Student Radiology Technician – Baker City, Oregon

Part‑time, Day Shift. Some travel between sites is expected.

Description

Performs procedures on patients of all ages according to approved protocols, radiation safety, and established exam indicators. Maintains patient and procedure documentation and knowledge of equipment and supplies for high‑quality exams. Provides effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Performs procedures on patients of all ages following departmental protocols.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of medications, inventory, and supplies.
  • Ensures a sterile environment is properly set up and maintained.
  • Supports staff per the SAMG Clinical Competency Manual as required.
  • Demonstrates organizational mission, vision, and values in actions and decisions.

Skills, Knowledge, Education and Experience

  • Enrolled in an ARRT‑acknowledged radiology program; must notify supervisor/HR if not in program.
  • Active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification required at hire (AHA, ARC, Military Training Network) unless currently certified in ACLS/PALS.
  • Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Essential Functions

  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric).
  • Ensures accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to patients.
  • Performs ordered procedures efficiently and timely.
  • Maintains required inventory of instruments and supplies.
