Construction Quality Inspector

Join RK&K's Construction Engineering Inspection and Construction Management Division as a Construction Quality Inspector. In this dynamic role, you will enhance our construction engineering and inspection capabilities while conducting both complex and routine inspections on a variety of projects, including highways and bridges.

• Deliver comprehensive construction management support through meticulous inspection and monitoring of work to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Engage proactively in solving various problems, providing evaluations and practical solutions.
• Oversee activities of other inspectors to ensure quality control.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, stakeholders, and contractors across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with clients, state and federal agencies, and various engineering disciplines on construction projects.
• Maintain detailed records, perform materials testing, and prepare reports as necessary.
• Uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethics in all interactions with clients, subconsultants, and peers.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) or more years of progressive experience in roadway and structures construction.
• GDOT Construction Engineering Inspection Training Group 1 and 2 certification.
• GDOT WECS certification.
• GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification.
• GSWCC Level 1A certification.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Familiarity with GDOT manuals, policies, and procedures, including the Construction Manual.
• Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and standards.
• Skills to train, coordinate, and supervise entry-level inspection technicians in the field.
• Willingness to travel to job sites, with a clean driving record.

• Prior experience with GDOT, particularly in an Inspector role is advantageous.
