CNC Turner - Nights

Due to growth and increased orders, they are now looking to recruit a CNC Turner for a weekday night shift, based at their manufacturing site in Shipley, West Yorkshire.

The purpose of the role will be to machine precision components to specification, ensuring a ‘right first time’ approach to exceed customer expectations.

• £40,560.00 Per Annum / £19.50 Per hour, inclusive of the shift allowance for nights.
• 40 hours per week with flexible start and finish times between 4:30 pm and 5:30 am, Monday to Thursday.
• 32 days holiday, inclusive of public holidays, pro‑rata.
• Free parking.
• Uniform.

• Work from drawings and instructions to machine first-offs.
• Set and operate a range of machines, with Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain controls.
• Quality‑check parts using Mitutoyo CMM.
• Contribute to lean manufacturing and deliver operational efficiencies within the cell.
• Report any non‑conformance and support the quality department when investigating the root cause.
• Work on batches of 50–110 or more.
• Work to tight tolerances (microns).
• Machine aluminium, Inconel, titanium and steel.

• Ideally hold an engineering qualification or have significant experience in CNC machining.
• Ability to work from engineering drawings.
• Passionate about working to ‘right first time’ standards.
• Experience of CNC milling and/or turning.
• Ability to work in a positive, collaborative culture where continuous improvement is paramount.
