Sr. Logistics Specialist (m/f/d)
Location:
Zug, Switzerland
Duration: 05/01/2026 to 04/01/2028
Responsibilities- Manage distribution and logistics activities within Biogen, including operational delivery of complex international shipments, replenishments, and order-to-cash processes for various distribution models.
- Work closely with global supply chain and PO&T functions to ensure logistics execution, including FG shipments, invoicing, shipping deviations, and sales & inventory reporting.
- Identify and communicate shipment risks, recommend and implement corrective actions to minimise supply risks within compliance frameworks (SOX, GMP & GDP).
- Monitor inventory levels and supply chain dynamics to anticipate and plan logistics activities.
- Analyse cross‑functional and logistics processes to identify and implement solutions for improving supply chain efficiency.
- Supervise operational D&L activities, including managing internal teams and external logistics partners for successful shipment and delivery.
- Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives across D&L and other global supply chain pillars.
- Train and provide guidance in all areas of distribution and logistics.
- University degree in Supply Chain or related field (e.g., Fachhochschule - Logistikfachmann/Exportfachmann). Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
- Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt certification is an asset.
- Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in logistics, with at least 2 years in a similar role within the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in international and regulated environments.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills; ability to articulate recommendations to senior management.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced environments with excellent organisational skills.
- Exceptional team player with experience in cross‑functional teams and project management.
- Proficiency in supply chain tools such as Oracle, Hyperion, Power
BI, Track Wise, SAP.
In Switzerland, for contract roles it is mandatory for the candidate to be a Swiss citizen or a European passport holder.
