bluesign technologies AG is a leading provider of sustainability certification and audit services for the global textile industry. With a workforce of roughly 110 employees, the company is expanding its digital capabilities to better serve brands, manufacturers, and chemical producers.

The Head of Technology & Systems will join the executive management team, reporting directly to the CEO, and will be responsible for building and leading a new IT organization. This role will shape the technology strategy, oversee the creation of a high‑performing development function, and ensure secure, compliant handling of customer data across all digital touch‑points.

• Minimum 10 years of senior‑level experience in an IT leadership role (CIO, VP of IT, Chief Technology Officer, or equivalent).
• Proven success in building and scaling IT organizations, preferably across multiple countries or remote teams.
• Experience in driving digital transformation, integrating business systems, and steering application architecture to ensure scalability and maintainability across platforms.
• Demonstrated experience managing project‑management and business‑analysis teams and structuring multiple projects in project portfolios.
• Background in Microsoft‑centric technology stacks (e.g., Azure cloud services, .NET, SQL Server, Power Platform) and overseeing both front‑end and back‑end development initiatives.
• Experience handling sensitive customer data, ensuring compliance with data‑privacy regulations and implementing robust security and data governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with textile industry and/or sustainability‑focused businesses is highly desirable, though not mandatory.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into executable IT roadmaps and an understanding that simplicity supports speed and flexibility.
• Strong stakeholder management – collaborating with CEOs, board members, and cross‑functional leaders.
• A leader with coaching and team development capabilities to foster collaboration across geographies, and create a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Deep understanding of agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and a commitment to continuous improvement in delivery practices.
• Proven ability to evaluate and guide application architecture decisions, balancing innovation, performance, and long-term maintainability.
• Strong grasp of data analytics, process automation, and cloud architecture.
• Passion for sustainability, digital innovation, and driving positive environmental impact through technology.
