Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Asset Management Analyst – Data & Automation (PV & BESS)

Golden Peaks Capital Trading (GPCT) is the commercial arm of Golden Peaks Capital, responsible for PPA origination, route-to-market activities, and the commercialisation and optimisation of our renewable generation fleet across multiple countries. We are scaling rapidly and expanding our portfolio with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) alongside photovoltaic (PV) assets across European markets.

The Role

We are building an asset management function that is data-led and automation-first. We’re hiring an Asset Management Analyst to strengthen execution capacity and accelerate how fast we turn raw operational + commercial data into clean reconciliations, reliable reporting, and actionable performance improvements.

You will operate as the “engine room” behind our Asset Management performance control tower, working at the intersection of O&M, Finance, Engineering, Commercial, and Accounting. The role reports directly to the Head of Analysis.

What you will do
  • Design, build, and maintain data models to forecast and track production, revenues, and costs across the asset portfolio, ensuring scalable, transparent, and auditable structures.
  • Develop automated frameworks to compare forecasts versus actuals, detect deviations, and flag underlying drivers across price, volume, settlement, and imbalance components.
  • Implement logic to identify root causes of variances and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
2) Asset Management Control Tower & Reporting Automation
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the asset management “control tower”, enhancing portfolio → contract → asset‑level drill‑downs, automated flagging, and actionable visibility.
  • Build and automate scalable reporting and control frameworks (weekly, monthly, semi‑annual), embedding data quality checks, validation logic, and exception handling by design.
  • Define, standardise, and document KPI definitions, data models, and reporting governance to ensure consistency, transparency, and reusability across the organisation.
3) Performance Optimisation & Action Tracking
  • Identify recurring inefficiencies and underperformance patterns using data‑driven tools and analytical methods; propose optimisation actions with quantified impact.
  • Track identified actions to closure, with clear ownership, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Work closely with O&M, Commercial, Accounting, and Engineering teams to map roles, data needs, and required inputs, and to design more automated and efficient data exchange processes, supported by clear data pipelines and implementation plans.
4) Commercial Performance Frameworks
  • Develop a deep understanding of the technical KPIs and performance outcomes produced by the Technical Asset Management team.
  • Translate technical performance outcomes into commercial implications and prioritised actions through data‑driven models and processes.
5) Forecasting / APM Development Support
  • Support development and calibration of production + revenue forecasting methodologies using performance history and weather signals.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in renewables, settlements, or energy analytics, with sufficient domain exposure to operate end‑to‑end across data, models, and asset management use cases.
  • Solid understanding of renewable and energy markets mechanics, including PPA / VPPA / CfD economics and BRP / BSP processes.
  • Hands‑on proficiency with data and automation tools, including:
  • Power BI
  • SQL and Excel
  • Python
  • Strong cross‑functional capability to work with multiple teams, extract and structure required inputs and establish scalable data frameworks and processes that improve efficiency and accelerate decision‑making.
Education
  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline.
  • Outstanding development opportunities in a dynamic, international team.
  • Performance-oriented and collaborative environment with a strong culture of recognition, reliability, and trust.
  • High-impact role with visibility across the organisation, working on a multi‑GW PV & BESS portfolio.
