Key Responsibilities- Full‑Stack IoT Development:
Architect, develop, document and maintain IoT solutions. Transition/maintain legacy systems to modern, containerised environments on edge devices (SBCs, Raspberry Pi, etc.) and develop new custom solutions. - Hardware Engineering & Prototyping:
Hands‑on fabrication of custom hardware prototypes. Includes soldering, PCB assembly, and sensor integration (I2C, SPI, UART, NO/NC logic). - Systems Automation:
Design and manage automated monitoring and alarm infrastructure using Code Sys, Docker, and Ansible. - Network Architecture & Security:
Configure and secure network environments (Managed Switches, Routers, Uni Fi ecosystems). - Legacy System Refactoring:
Reverse‑engineer and modernise undocumented legacy codebases and hardware setups. - Field Deployment:
Physical installations of infrastructure. Includes cabling, mounting hardware, troubleshooting wiring faults, and validating sensor performance in real‑world environments.
- Programming:
Proficiency in a programming language, preferably Python or C++, utilizing AI‑assisted IDEs for rapid development. - Hardware Interface:
Understanding of serial communication protocols and electrical logic (NO/NC). - Operating Systems:
Administration of Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) and Windows environments. - Networking:
