Welding Engineer

In this role you will take on the leading role in welding supervision and quality assurance for the production of steel and stainless steel elements.

• Performance of the function as welding supervisor in accordance with the relevant quality standards (analogous to EN 15085-2 and ISO 3834-2).
• Ensuring quality standards in internal welding production (focus on steel/stainless steel) at the main site.
• Creation, monitoring and compliance with all welding-related planning documents
  , work instructions and project‑specific test instructions.
• Participation in the theoretical training of internal welders, operators and NDT (non‑destructive testing) personnel.
• Review of contract and manufacturing documents with regard to quality requirements, evidence, manufacturing capabilities and compliance with standards.
• Inspection of welded structures and approval of drawings from a welding technology perspective.
• Conducting welding audits and First Article Inspections (FAIs) at external suppliers.

You are a qualified professional with technical training and sound knowledge in welding technology.

• Completed studies (University of Applied Sciences/University) in the field of mechanical engineering, materials engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• Mandatory: Additional training as an International Welding Engineer (IWE) or European Welding Engineer (EWE).
• Ideally,
  several years of professional experience in a comparable role, preferably in the field of steel construction/steel
  .
• You are an open, communicative,
  pragmatic and solution‑oriented personality
  .
• Willingness to travel for factory and supplier visits at various company locations (regional).
• Good knowledge of 3D CAD software and MS Office applications.
