Job SummaryThe Welding Lead directs the daily activities of the welding departments in an efficient manner for the desired quality and quantity of work, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. This position supervises all work related to welding.
Job Responsibilities- Reading blueprints, sketches, diagrams, or other drawings to determine work requirements
- Direct processes for team and ensure they remain on task
- Inspecting welds for quality and defects, using appropriate tooling
- Reading and interpreting blue prints to determine proper setup and procedures
- Operating welding equipment to weld aluminum, steel and stainless steel
- Data collection and reporting
- Following safety guidelines and procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Ability to perform basic math skills accurately
- Ability to read and write, follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- The hourly pay rate is $33-$35/hr
