The Clinical Supervisor reports to the Director of the CCC and NCTSI Project Director. Primary assignments include the supervision and coordination of all Psy.
D. practicum services in accordance with APA standards, organizational mission, and National Child Traumatic Stress Initiative NCTSI funding requirements. The position focuses on clinical supervision and didactic training, onboarding and evaluation of the Psy.
D. students, quality assurance and oversight of service outcomes, collaboration with school districts as a client referral source, and working within a multidisciplinary leadership team.
This position is a 32-hour-per-week position contingent on grant funding. Continued position grade and/or employment is based on continued funding.
Required Education- Master's in Social Work, or related psychology field, AND three or more years working as a supervisor or manager in a community mental health setting.
- Licensed Psy.
D./Ph.D., or license eligible. - OR Licensed MFT, LCSW with three or more years as a supervisor or manager in a community mental health setting.
- Administrative and clinical experience in a community mental health setting.
- Oversees all clinical services conducted by Psy.
D. students. - Ensures adequate supervision and training of student cohort, per American Psychological Association standards.
- Provides direct clinical supervision to, at least, one 2-hour Psy.
D. supervision group (approximately 4 trainees) on a weekly basis. - Oversees caseload assignments and ensures that practicum students reach and maintain a minimum of 8 client cases.
- Provides orientation and ongoing training on policies, procedures, and documentation specific to seeing outpatient community clients and working with school-based clients (Azusa Unified School District).
- Review case records, ensuring quality and maintenance of proper clinical documentation.
- Audits clinic and school-based documentation on a quarterly basis.
- Remains available and “on call” while supervises are conducting both school-based and center-based clinical services.
- Provides formative and summative evaluations of supervises and recommends indicated actions.
- Proactively manages student performance in collaboration with CCC leadership and faculty.
- Responsible for daily electronic timekeeping as it applies to the scope of this position.
- Conducts or facilitates training seminars for Psy.
D. trainees. - Incorporates planned sequence of training content throughout the training year, including the introduction of evidenced-based practice, in alignment with academic coursework.
- Ensures preparation and entry of Psy.
D. cohort into the CCC, including student placements in school-based settings and clinical supervision groups. - Acts as primary liaison between Azusa Unified School District (AUSD) and CCC.
- Leads weekly Psy.
D. supervisor team meetings to ensure compliance with placement requirements and maximize educational experience. - Attends CCC supervisor meetings.
