Salary & Signing Bonus

£1,000 signing bonus payable after 6 months of service. Salary: £18 per hour – £20 per hour plus overtime.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern

Day shift (Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:45, Friday 08:00 – 13:30). Backshift (Mon‑Thurs 14:30 – 22:30, Friday 12:30 – 21:00). Saturday overtime 07:00 – 13:00 (after backshift week). Rotating shift with early finish Fridays.

What You Will Do
  • Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
  • Assist in the fault diagnosis process
  • Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets
  • Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
  • Assist with roadside breakdowns
  • Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
  • Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
  • Keep all workshop facilities, equipment and tools clean, tidy and well maintained
  • Help support the development of trainees and apprentices
Who Are You?
  • Hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or an apprenticeship
  • Previous experience of repair work on heavy vehicles or plant equipment
  • Keen to progress your career in a forward‑thinking and innovative company
