Salary: £7.55 per hour.

. Apprenticeship - Level 2.
- Service Technicians/Mechanics service and repair light vehicles such as cars up to 3.5 tonnes.
- Be trained in all areas of vehicle mechanics and electronics, from engine and exhaust systems to air conditioning and security features.
- Servicing vehicles – carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturers’ guidelines.
- Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components.
- Advising the Service Receptionists about required repairs.
- Producing time estimates.
- Maintaining repair and service records.
Please note, the Service Technician/Mechanic role varies slightly by employer based upon the specific needs within the location.

Qualifications RequiredGCSE grades 9 – 4 (A –
C) or equivalent in English, Maths and two other subjects are required. In Scotland, applicants must have or be predicted to achieve Scottish National 5 Grades A – C or above in English, Maths and either a Science or Technical subject.

We are looking for people with an interest in engineering and technology to thrive in this role. While full technical training will be provided, desired skills include problem solving, attention to detail and an aptitude for applied logic.
