We’re on the hunt for a dedicated and enthusiastic Planning Accountant to join our amazing Finance and Resources team at Fairhive! If you enjoy helping others, working in a supportive environment, and contributing to meaningful projects, this could be the perfect role for you.
About the role…
As our Planning Accountant, you will prepare the annual update of the Company’s business plan, reviewing assumptions and liaising with key budget holders and finance to ensure adequacy of information and adherence to approved budget for year 1.
You'll prepare the sensitivity analysis and combined stress testing including consideration of the key risks and potential risks to the business along with preparing the draft business plan narrative and analysis reports.
Liaising with the Development team and partners, you’ll review their appraisal of proposed new build schemes, provide sensitivity analysis of schemes with for sale properties and produce post-implementation reports.
As a valued team member, you will play an essential role in our daily operations where no two days are the same.
About you
You will have:
* A degree, accounting qualification or technical financial experience, built on through substantial experience
* Strong knowledge of commercial, operational and financial context of a social housing business
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build collaborative partnerships
* Strong organisational, time management, administrative and prioritisation skills
* Good intermediate IT skills
