Permanent, Full Time, 39 hours per week - Monday-Sunday

We are seeking a dedicated Escort / Fabric Operative to join our team at HMP Grendon Springhill. HMP Grendon is a Category B training prison, while HMP Springhill is a Category D open prison, and they are jointly managed and maintained by the same facilities team. We are a Ministry Of Justice Business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS. As an Escort / Fabric Operative you will work with a team to support facilities maintenance and contribute to the safe operation of the establishments and related environments.

• Experience of prison environment
• Experience of use of hand and power tools
• Previous experience of working within a building fabric / Hard FM environment
• Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification
• Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills

We work with colleagues across trades (Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, Administrators) to maintain a safe and secure environment for all. This role is part of a supportive Facilities Maintenance Team that aims to protect prisoners, staff and visitors while contributing to rehabilitation and positive change.

Holidays are 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays, and a range of non-contractual benefits are provided.
