This is a full-time on-site role for a Registered Manager based in our brand new Overnight Short Breaks (respite) service in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. The Registered Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and excellence in care delivery.
Responsibilities include managing and supporting the care team, developing care plans, maintaining strong relationships with service users and families, and ensuring that care services meet the needs and preferences of each individual. You will be responsible for ensuring staff training, driving continuous improvements, and monitoring service quality.
Our overnight short breaks service has been designed and Registered to provide support and care for adults who are autistic and/or have a learning disability. Im order to qualify for this position applicants must have prior experience of working in and/or managing a respite service, already be a regsitered manager or equivalent and have extensive knowledge related to autism and learning disabilities.
Qualifications- Leadership and management skills, including experience overseeing a care team and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with service users, families, and staff.
- Knowledge of care planning, risk assessments, and person-centered care approaches.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards in the healthcare and social care sector.
- Problem-solving and organisational skills to address challenges proactively and enhance service quality.
- Registered Manager qualifications or equivalent, and prior experience in a managerial role within the care industry.
- Commitment to promoting independence and supporting service users in achieving their goals.
- Familiarity with booking systems, complex staff rostering and a proactive approach to promoting a balanced service delivery model.
