Company Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of utility diversion works within a major infrastructure programme.
This is a long-term opportunity for a Site Engineer with a proven background in utilities construction and site-based engineering within a Tier 1 contracting environment.
The Role
As Site Engineer, you will play a critical role in the technical delivery of utility diversion works, supporting safe and accurate construction operations across site.
You will be responsible for setting out lines and levels, interpreting construction drawings, reviewing RAMS documentation, and working closely with Section Engineers and the Project Manager to ensure works are delivered to programme, quality, and budget requirements.
This is a hybrid site and coordination role requiring presence onsite and in associated project offices five days per week.
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out setting out, surveying, and dimensional control activities.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Support site delivery teams with technical engineering guidance.
• Work closely with engineering, planning, and management teams to maintain programme performance.
• Ensure works are undertaken in accordance with project quality and safety standards.
• Assist in monitoring site progress and recording engineering data.
Key Requirements
• Previous experience operating at Site Engineer level within the utilities or infrastructure construction sector.
• Experience across at least two of the following utility diversion disciplines water, gas, or communications.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Site Engineer or equivalent role within Tier 1 or Tier 2 contracting organisations.
• Strong knowledge of setting out, drawing interpretation, and RAMS procedures.
• Valid CSCS card, SMSTS certification, and First Aid qualification are essential.
