About The Role
At EKFB (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) we’re shaping infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing, and maintenance of railway networks, including one of Europe’s latest high‑speed rail projects.
We’re recruiting for an Assistant Engineering Manager to join our team, based in Aylesbury. This site‑based role assists the Engineering Manager and works closely with the Construction team for day‑to‑day matters.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying and mitigating key engineering risks and issues.
- Reviewing low‑risk Work Package Plans (RAMS) and ITPs on behalf of the Engineering Management Team.
- Coordinating with Quality, Environmental and Designer’s Construction Support teams as required.
- Assisting with the management and execution of temporary works and supporting the PW/TW Integration Manager on permanent‑works integration.
- Providing technical support and guidance to construction delivery teams on specifications, non‑conformance reports, short‑notice design changes, material approvals, shop drawing reviews, temporary works design reviews and testing.
- Liaising with Designer’s Construction Support to resolve TQs and FCRs.
- Overseeing accurate redlining of approved changes to the design and supporting technical assurance audits, surveillance and HS2 Technical Assurance Reviews.
- Experience in design and/or engineering/construction management and delivery of major infrastructure projects.
- Ability to coordinate workloads.
- Good communication skills.
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering.
- Working towards or currently a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer.
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
