We are seeking an inspirational, experienced and forward-thinking Faculty Director – Health & Life Sciences, Sport and Public Services to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover a period of maternity leave. This is a full-time role (37hrs per week / all year round) based at our Aylesbury/Wycombe Campuses.

You will bring strong leadership and management experience, with extensive knowledge of academic quality within Further Education, substantial teaching experience and proven experience of dealing with curriculum processes in order to drive improvement. You will be innovative and be comfortable with experimentation of new ideas and approaches including use of digital tools to enhance student engagement.

The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership across the faculty which includes 16-18 and adult provision in Health & Social Care, Applied Science, Education & Early Years, Sports, Public Services, Hair & Beauty, Counselling and Access to HE, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and assessment, exceptional compliance, and a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Lead across Health & Social Care, Counselling, Access, Sport and Public Services curriculum areas.
  • Deliver outstanding student success through strong leadership and management of Curriculum Managers and business support staff.
  • Lead on the planning and implementation of T-Levels pathways across the provision.
  • Manage and support the curriculum team to consistently deliver high quality outcomes and innovative teaching and learning, achievement and progression for all students.
  • To embed an aspirational culture with students and staff across the curriculum area
