This highly regarded “Good” school in Aylesbury is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to join its committed team as soon as possible. The school is renowned for its inclusive approach to education, providing a nurturing atmosphere where every student is supported in their academic and emotional growth. With a focus on positive behaviour management and personalised support, this role offers the perfect platform for someone passionate about student well-being and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and group mentoring to students facing behavioural challenges, empowering them to overcome barriers to learning.
Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to implement targeted, proactive behaviour management strategies that promote positive student outcomes.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students, providing the emotional and social support they need to flourish academically and personally.
Assist in designing and delivering individualised behaviour plans, ensuring each student’s needs are met with tailored interventions.
Monitor and track student progress, maintaining clear communication with staff, parents, and carers to ensure consistent support.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience in supporting students with behavioural needs (desirable, but not essential).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
A patient, empathetic, and calm approach, with a commitment to finding positive solutions to challenges.
Ability to remain composed under pressure, with a focus on student well-being and emotional development.
A genuine passion for helping young people develop their social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
