Overview

As an SEN Teacher (QTS), you will work within specialist SEN schools in Buckinghamshire, supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, SEMH, ADHD, MLD, SLD, and complex needs. You will deliver tailored learning experiences that promote progress, independence, and emotional wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets
  • Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities
  • Creating a structured, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Adapting teaching approaches using multi-sensory and trauma-informed strategies
  • Managing behaviour positively using consistent and supportive techniques
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals
  • Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Participating in reviews, meetings, and safeguarding procedures

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience teaching children or young people with SEN (school or alternative provision)
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
  • Ability to differentiate the curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for SEN education

Experience with in SEN schools is highly desirable for this SEN Teacher (QTS) position in Buckinghamshire, but motivated teachers with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
