Job DescriptionLocated in Central Massachusetts, we are a well-established ophthalmology practice, seeking a new graduate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Practice.
We are looking for a motivated and patient-focused Registered Nurse to join our ophthalmology practice with a strong emphasis on cosmetic and advanced dry eye services. This role is ideal for a new graduate who is passionate about aesthetics and ocular surface treatments and is looking to build meaningful experience in a specialty that can be challenging to break into.
Position OverviewThe primary responsibility of this role is to perform IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and other dry eye treatments under the supervision of the physician. The RN will also provide general clinical support within the practice and assist with select administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality patient experience.
Core Responsibilities- Perform IPL and other dry eye treatments following established clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Assist with cosmetic consultations, patient education, and follow-up care.
- Support daily clinical operations, including rooming patients, preparing exam rooms, documenting in the EMR, and assisting with minor procedures.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling follow-ups, managing patient inquiries, and coordinating treatment plans.
- Maintain treatment equipment, ensure proper sterilization standards, and manage supply inventory.
- Deliver excellent patient service with a focus on comfort, communication, and positive treatment outcomes.
- Active RN license in the state of Massachusetts (new graduates encouraged to apply).
- Interest in cosmetic, aesthetic, or ophthalmic services; prior experience in these areas is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Willingness to learn specialized treatment techniques, including IPL and related technologies.
