Job Description
- Carry out the work processes that provide the required inspection, materials, and reliability service to ensure that all activities and resources are managed and controlled and that the required services are provided on timely basis for achieving the department goals and objectives.
- Schedule all fixed equipment in the area and inspect it timeously in accordance with the applicable inspection procedures to ensure that proper inspection is carried out in compliance with statutory regulations, design & safety codes and company specifications and procedures.
- Enter and update the reliability and inspection records of all stationary equipment and systems in the assigned operating area to ensure future safe and reliable equipment operation.
- Review and provide feedback to Senior Inspection Engineer on the content of engineering projects for newly fixed equipment or modifications to existing areas to ensure that equipment is used safely and economically and to establish the integrity of equipment for service.
- Initiate and follow up on work requests that specify the action required on area Fixed Equipment to correct or prevent deterioration and improve reliability.
- Write memoranda and reports on matters arising from equipment inspections and specify required action to address specific inspection, repair and reliability issues for safe operation and for assuring the integrity of equipment and plant availability.
- Carry out inspection, materials, corrosion and Reliability Maintenance studies and survey which affect the safety and reliability of plant and equipment to improve the safety and reliability of equipment and plant and reduce operating costs.
- Investigate problem issues and consult with the area Fixed Equipment Integrity Senior Engineer and other disciplined groups on unusual deteriorations, failures and incidents in the assigned operating area to ensure that root causes of problems are identified, and correct solution are determined and implemented.
