About the new HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter role in Bristol?

This is a long-established business with nearly 70 years of success, specialising in commercial vehicle rental. They operate fully equipped, modern workshops across the UK, including their busy Bristol site. With an internal fleet of 450 vehicles (90% HGV, 10% Vans), you will have ongoing career growth, exceptional support, and a stable future within the thriving Bristol operation. Role available due to continued growth, you will join a team of 9 HGV Technicians who operate both in the 8 bay depot and out in a mobile capacity

HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter – Duties
Based in Bristol, this is an exciting opportunity for an HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter to join a modern, well-resourced workshop within a highly respected national organisation.
Carry out inspections, routine servicing, repairs, and testing of vehicles professionally and safely.
Investigate and diagnose faults, provide accurate reporting, and complete repairs to current manufacturer standards.
Knowledge of cranes, hydraulics, tippers, tipper grabs, or beaver tails is advantageous, but full training will be provided.
Work as part of a supportive team within the Bristol workshop, ensuring vehicles are back on the road quickly and safely.
HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter – Experience Required

• Ideally qualified in vehicle maintenance, though time-served mechanics are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Strong technical and product knowledge.

• Excellent diagnostic and computer skills.

• A proactive approach to supporting the busy Bristol depot.
