Join a busy, professional workshop in Bristol as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / LGV Fitter / Truck Mechanic / Fleet Technician / Diesel Mechanic. You’ll service, diagnose and repair modern HGVs and commercial vehicles to DVSA/manufacturer standards—on a structured early/late pattern—with manufacturer training, strong benefits and clear progression.
The role — HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / LGV Fitter
Service, maintain and repair HGVs, LGVs and commercial vehicles to DVSA/manufacturer standards
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and complete accurate safety checks
Maintain job cards, service records and documentation to deadlines
Support workshop productivity; uphold a clean, safe working environment
Collaborate with colleagues on technical challenges and keep skills current with manufacturer updates/training
What you’ll bring
Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds or equivalent)
Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / LGV Fitter / Truck Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic
Strong fault‑finding/diagnostics and right‑first‑time approach
Full UK driving licence
(Desirable) Class 1 HGV licence; main dealer or fleet maintenance experience; confidence with diagnostics software/workshop equipment
Pay, hours & type
Salary: £45,(Apply online only) plus overtime & benefits
Hours:
Mon–Fri early/late — 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00
