An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Contract Mechanical Production Technician to join a global, high-tech manufacturing business within a high technology sector. This is a contract position working on the build and assembly of complex, cutting-edge systems used in advanced scientific and industrial applications.

This role would suit a skilled mechanical technician with strong precision assembly experience, looking to work within a highly professional and technically advanced production environment.

The Role:

* Assembly of complex mechanical systems and sub-assemblies

* Working to detailed BOMs, ISO standards, and customer specifications

* Precision pipe bending

* Working with vacuum systems and pneumatics

* Fault-finding and resolution of build issues

* Recording technical issues

* Maintaining high standards of H&S, cleanliness, and 5S

* Supporting continuous improvement activities

* Working on a rotating shift pattern (Early & Late)

Shift Pattern:
Early shift from 06:00 / Late shift from 14:00
Monday–Thursday with early finish Friday (11:00)
Enhanced shift rates apply

The Candidate:

* Time-served Mechanical Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification (C&G, HNC/HND, BTEC)

* Strong mechanical build and precision fitting background

* Proven pipe bending experience would be advantageous

* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings is beneficial

* Experience with vacuum systems and pneumatics would be highly advantageous

* Strong fault-finding skills
