Bakery​/Deli Clerk

We are seeking a dedicated Bakery/Deli Clerk to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include establishing a safe and clean environment, assisting the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals, and monitoring quality assurance standards. • Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests, using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend products to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use bakery equipment safely and according to guidelines.
• Follow food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures and logs.
• Label, stock, and inventory merchandise accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of products and store layout to assist customers effectively.
• Promote a welcoming environment and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.

• Customer service skills and effective communication.
• Basic math knowledge.
• Ability to obtain a food handlers permit upon employment.

• Experience in bakery or deli settings.
• Retail experience.
