Job Purpose
This position serves to provide care to patients under the direction of a medical practitioner in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
What You Will Do- Prepare patient charts for upcoming visits, ensuring all necessary forms are completed, reviewed, and properly integrated into the patient’s chart.
- Welcome patients, conduct check‑in, and escort them to examination rooms.
- Perform delegated medical tasks, including recording vitals, medical history, reasons for the visit, and documenting all in the patient’s medical record.
- Conduct visual acuity screenings as part of routine physical exams.
- Administer injections and assist providers with medical procedures.
- Perform blood draws, collect specimens, conduct urine drug screenings, and communicate results.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms between appointments, including stocking necessary supplies and disposing of expired supplies and biohazard waste.
- Work collaboratively with providers to troubleshoot patient issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate or a CAAHEP‑accredited program is required.
- An associate degree in a health‑related field or certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- At least six months of healthcare experience is preferred.
- Must hold valid and current CPR and First Aid certifications, and an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Denova will assist with obtaining a Fingerprint Clearance Card upon acceptance of offer).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in using electronic record‑keeping systems such as EMR, billing software, insurance carrier portals, and spreadsheets is preferred.
- Bilingual candidates are highly valued, but not a requirement.
- Applicants must be 21 years of age or older to qualify for this position.
- Monday‑Friday, 7 am‑4 pm
