Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Avon, Ohio. This is a long-term contract position offering flexible part-time hours, ideal for professionals seeking stability with reduced work schedules. The role involves overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to budgeting and payroll activities.

Responsibilities:

- Handle month-end close processes and ensure timely completion of all related tasks.

- Maintain and manage the general ledger to ensure accuracy in financial records.

- Prepare and post journal entries while verifying supporting documentation.

- Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and other financial accounts, to ensure consistency and accuracy.

- Perform detailed financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.

- Process payroll efficiently and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

- Utilize Foundation Software for accounting tasks; experience with the software is beneficial.

- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to address accounting inquiries and provide insights.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Requirements - Proven experience in senior-level accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial processes.

- Proficiency in managing month-end close activities, general ledger, and journal entries.

- Expertise in account reconciliation and bank statement review.

- Familiarity with payroll processing and budgeting techniques.

- Strong analytical skills to perform financial analysis effectively.

- Experience with Foundation Software or willingness to learn it quickly.

- Background in manufacturing or construction accounting is advantageous but not required.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively.
