Position SummaryThe Accounting Manager plays a pivotal client‑facing role, combining technical accounting and tax expertise with proactive financial advisory support. This individual will manage core client relationships, deliver accurate financial work, identify opportunities for additional services, and contribute to firm‑wide initiatives, including process improvements and business development activities.
Location:
Avon, OH, onsite during tax season, 1-day WFH off season
Salary: $100K plus bonus opportunities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service, responsiveness, and professionalism.
- Provide strategic financial advice related to forecasting, compliance, budgeting and general decision‑making.
- Prepare accurate bookkeeping, financial statements, and tax returns; research and resolve complex tax questions.
- Identify opportunities for additional services or value‑add solutions to strengthen client partnerships.
- Participate in networking events and support proposal development to expand the firm’s reach.
- Contribute to internal initiatives such as special projects, committees and process optimization efforts.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, regulatory standards and quality expectations for all client deliverables.
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and operational improvements.
- Investigate and resolve complex accounting issues and respond to client inquiries efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred but not required.
- 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with direct client‑facing responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and applicable tax regulations.
- Proven ability to manage and advise clients with professionalism and confidence.
- Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with accounting platforms such as Quick Books, Ultra Tax and Microsoft Office Suite.
