Zone Lead (Full-Time)
The Zone Lead (ZL) reports to the Zone Manager and supports merchandising in designated zones, maintaining an active selling culture by ensuring that all visual aspects are set and upheld to documented company standards designed to drive sales. The ZL provides expertise in visual standards, merchandising techniques, fixturing, and implementation of all in-store marketing elements (signs, vignettes, endcaps, tables, first look/flash finds) that reinforce seasons/holidays and in-store promotions within their designated areas.
The ZL influences store Team Members to be knowledgeable about visual merchandising and visual standards while always demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- The ZL supports all aspects of the visual merchandising process for the store by planning, in conjunction with the Zone Manager, and leading transitions, reinventions, product assortment changes, and resets while maintaining visual integrity and an organized environment that inspires guests.
- The ZL manages daily and weekly workload, executing delegated tasks to meet visual merchandising, department and store sales goals, and guest engagement objectives.
- The ZL participates in all freight processes for incoming freight and transitions.
- The ZL processes freight sorts, stocks product in designated areas, including down stocking and end‑cap maintenance while maintaining a neat, clean, organized zone.
- The ZL supports the store team in customer satisfaction, inventory control, safety, loss prevention, and overall customer experience to operate effectively and profitably.
- The ZL serves as a role model and coach, providing continuous learning opportunities related to visual merchandising.
- The ZL leverages daily interactions to communicate, teach, and train visual priorities and create visual moments that support the customer experience.
- The ZL reviews the store’s financial and business data from the store scorecard, including sales and expenses, and acts within assigned zones to improve metrics.
- The ZL ensures the maintenance of a neat, clean, organized zone, keeping the store updated with current signing and sets.
- All other duties assigned based on business needs.
- Open availability (requires nights and weekends).
- At least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma/Equivalent.
- Background check will be completed.
- Communicates clearly and concisely with excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and team lift 100 lbs., and to move merchandise around a warehouse-format store routinely.
- Hand dexterity, reach, and endurance for prolonged standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standards, processes, and marketing.
- Reliable and trustworthy role model for ethical and honest behavior, doing the right thing for team members, customers, and the company.
