- Provide daily care, health needs, safety and comfort of residents.
- Perform professional assessments and documentation of residents' health.
- Assist with the management of the assigned nursing units staff.
- Supervise, perform and provide written/verbal care assignments, routine skills and procedures.
- Participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans, maintain up to date nursing care plans, document progress and make recommendations for revisions.
- Make daily and periodic visits to observe for symptoms, reactions to medication and/or treatment.
- Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, weights, diet supplements and replacements, cultures, etc.
- Assist with orientation and ongoing training of staff to assure required skill levels are maintained.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid RN License in good standing.
- Thorough understanding of safe and effective nursing practices in Indiana.
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, etc.
- Personal integrity and ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and personnel.
- Passion for caring for people.
- Ability to be discrete and protect confidentiality and stay within Corporate Compliance and HIPAA.
