We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic OB/GYN team at IU Health West in Avon, IN
.
- Full-time, Days
- Monday‑Friday
- No weekends, holidays, or call
- 100% outpatient
- Procedures include: IUD insertions, birth control implant insertions, endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, incision and drainage
- Patient volume in office: 15‑20/day
- Patient Care:
Conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans for OB/GYN patients - Testing and Diagnostics:
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to inform patient care decisions - Documentation:
Accurately documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow‑up care in electronic medical records - Education:
Educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative care. - Follow‑up:
Providing follow‑up care to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary - Collaboration:
Working closely with physician and collaborators and other healthcare professionals to ensure high‑quality, coordinated care
- FNP or WHNP board certification required.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience working in women's health / OBGYN required.
- Ideal candidates will have experience in OB/GYN outpatient setting or family practice with gynecological experience.
- New grads must have experience in labor and delivery preferred and experience in inserting IUD and implants.
- Must have strong clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient‑centered care.
