Job Functions:
The primary function of the teacher is to plan, guide, and evaluate the learning process of the students for whom they are responsible. Other responsibilities include:
* Skilled in team management,
* Background in instructional design and assessment
* Outline clear goals and strategies for integrating technology into instruction.
* Possess good interpersonal skills for working with teachers, administration and staff.
Salary:
Range $54,000-$98,400
FLSA Status:
Exempt
Assigned Workday Calendar: 185 Days + 5 Extended Days

Teaching positions are eligible for medical and dental insurance as well as supplemental benefits such as vision, life insurance, disability, etc. Provided long-term disability, TRF, 401(a) Retirement.

Qualifications:
* Education:
Master's Degree Preferred
* Certification:
Appropriate Indiana certification
* Experience:
Minimum (5) years of teaching experience that has been enhanced by the implementation of technology strategies in Math, Science and/or STEM while successfully implementing technology into instructional practice.
* Other:
Ability to maintain a positive relationship with pupils, staff, parents, and the community.
Essential Functions:
* Possess excellent skills to coach and support adult learners.
* Understand RtI process and participate in building level committee(s) as directed by building principal.
* Provide professional development specific to RtI aligned to staff needs.
* Prioritize professional learning to develop a deep background in scientific, research-based instruction for core and intervention primarily in math and reading.
* Demonstrate strong ability to analyze, interpret data, and support plans to align instruction and/or programs to interventions.
* Provide professional development for teachers new to Avon Schools as directed by the building principal.
* Support specific building level needs as directed by building principal.
* Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
* Comply with all Avon Community School Corporation policies, guidelines, procedures and protocols.
* Be an example of exemplary adult behavior for students.
* Project a genuine care and concern for all students.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or Assistant Superintendent.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
