Registered Nurse; Rn Charge Nurse​/Supervisor

Avon Health Center, family owned since 1974, provides a range of services, including skilled nursing care, post-acute medical and rehabilitation care, hospice and respite care. We are a 120 bed facility with a 30 bed post-acute/rehab unit. Our Facility has an excellent reputation in the community and we are looking for caring persons to provide leadership and drive the quality care we are known for to our residents.

• REGISTERED NURSE (CHARGE NURSE/SUPERVISOR)
• 11 PM TO 7 AM (32 HOURS, FULL TIME)
• WEEKNIGHTS ARE CHARGE NURSE; WEEKENDS ARE SUPERVISOR/CHARGE NURSE
• INCLUDES EVERY OTHER WEEKEND AND EVERY OTHER HOLIDAY
• $36.75 - 40.25/hour plus $5/hour when supervising
• $2.50 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL
• $1.50 WEEKEND DIFFERENTIAL
• $6.25 - $9.37/HOUR EXTRA WHEN PICKING UP EXTRA SHIFTS

• Administer medication according to doctor orders/procedure
• Render and assist complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders
• Maintain current resident care plans on all residents
• Review patient records daily to assure accuracy
• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes
• Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert lists
• Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary
• Other duties as assigned by the Nurse Supervisor, DNS, ADNS and Administrator
• As a Unit Charge Nurse, you will supervise 2-3 CNAs on the 11-7 shift. As the Nurse Supervisor on your weekend you will also oversee the house and take a unit

* Position requires every other weekend.

• Current Registered Nurse License in Connecticut
• 1 year of long term care experience strongly preferred
• Ability and willingness to supervise
• Ability to work as a team
• Authorized to work in the US
• Must go through background check process including fingerprinting
