The Biomed Technician ensures equipment and supplies used in all areas of the facility are properly functioning and safe for use. The equipment technician ensures the physical plant is properly maintained.
Schedule: Full-time, five 8-hour shifts starting at 7am;
Sundays off; no overnight shifts. This position will also cover the other dialysis units in the area. Includes on-call responsibility.
Compensation: Pay range from $21.00-$31.83 per hour, depending on experience; dialysis experience required, CCHT preferred.

What You Can Expect:
- Repair, calibrate, and maintain dialysis delivery equipment used in-center to ensure proper functioning and safety. May also help in the hospital services program, and with home therapies dialysis.
- Provide routine maintenance and repair of water systems in-center and in the patient home.
- Be knowledgeable of and follow AAMI standards for water safety and for reprocessing.
- Document repairs and maintenance according to DCI and clinic policy. Be thorough, timely, accurate and legible in documentation.
- Perform and document air quality testing and take appropriate actions.
- Perform inventory functions as assigned, following DCI procedures.
- Know and follow procedures relating to hazardous chemical use, storage and disposal.
- Know and follow procedures relating to medical waste storage and disposal.
- Strictly observe infection control and safety procedures.
- Responsible for completion of minor building maintenance.
- Participate in and support clinic quality improvement activities and risk management program.
Successful Candidates Bring:
- Excellent communication skills
- Desire to collaborate with care teams
- Ability to problem solve
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months biomed technician experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must successfully complete assigned manufacturer training courses within 12 months.
- Dialysis experience required, CCHT preferred.
