Wealth Management/RIA Firm

Compensation: $95k-125k plus performance-based bonus

Our client is a growing, client-centered wealth management firm based in Avon, Connecticut. Originally founded in 2006, the firm operates as a Hybrid RIA and Broker Dealer platform and is currently managing over $750 million in assets.

The firm delivers comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services to high net worth and mass affluent families. This opportunity has arisen due to continued organic growth and the need for additional senior-level client leadership and planning expertise.

Position Overview

The company seeks a Lead Advisor / Senior Financial Planner CFP to take full ownership of client relationships and serve as a senior planning resource within the firm.

This role is ideal for a confident, polished CFP professional who:

The selected candidate will partner closely with internal planning, operations, and client service teams while helping shape the firm’s long-term planning framework and client experience model.

Key Responsibilities of the Lead Advisor
  • Lead and manage ongoing advisory relationships
  • Conduct client meetings with confidence and professionalism
  • Serve as a trusted advisor guiding clients through major life and financial decisions
  • Deliver advice across retirement planning, tax strategy, estate planning, insurance analysis, investment allocation, and college planning
  • Develop, present, and update comprehensive financial plans using eMoney
  • Proactively identify planning gaps and next-step opportunities
  • Coordinate with CPAs, estate attorneys, and other outside professionals
  • Contribute to planning system improvements and workflow optimization
Team Development
  • Mentor junior planning associates and support professional development
  • Collaborate with operations and client service teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Help elevate firm-wide planning standards and client service excellence
Qualifications of the Lead Advisor
  • 7 plus years of comprehensive financial planning, financial advisor, and wealth management advisory experience
  • CFP certification or in progress
  • Strong knowledge of tax planning, retirement income strategies, estate considerations, and portfolio construction
  • Experience leading client meetings independently
  • Familiarity with eMoney financial planning software
  • Experience working within an RIA, Broker Dealer or hybrid RIA / broker dealer environment
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • A genuine passion for financial planning and a deep commitment to helping clients achieve clarity, confidence, and long-term success
