Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in the greater Avon area.. This role is integral to maintaining accurate and efficient financial operations, including assisting with monthly closings and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will excel in managing detailed accounting tasks and demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Assist with the month-end closing process, including reviewing and analyzing financial data.

- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making and reporting.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures.

- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions for data analysis and reporting.

- Support audits and provide documentation as needed.

- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency within accounting operations.

- Monitor and maintain accurate records of financial transactions

Requirements - Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on journal entries and reconciliations.

- Strong knowledge of month-end closing processes and financial analysis.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex functions and data manipulation.

- Familiarity with accounting principles and standards.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
