Job Description

Full-time, year-round position to perform various secretarial/clerical duties in the Controller's Office.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serves as the primary receptionist and administrative assistant for the Controller and maintains a welcoming, professional environment.
  • Provides comprehensive administrative support to the Controller and Business Office staff, including word processing, spreadsheet preparation, filing, copying, collating, and phone coverage, mail handling, appointments and travel arrangements.
  • Performs data entry of purchase requisitions into the College administrative system.
  • Serves as payroll liaison for Business Office staff, ensuring timely communication and coordination of payroll related matters.
  • Assists with the annual physical inventory, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
  • Assumes responsibility for requisitioning materials and supplies, and maintaining proper storage.
  • Provides backup support for transaction processing between the College and the SFSC Foundation, Inc., including responsibilities such as preparing invoices, verifying documentation, and researching P-Card purchases.
  • Assists the Records Management Liaison Officer with routine records management functions, ensuring compliance with established procedures and retention requirements.
  • Contributes to unit planning, assessment, and college institutional effectiveness efforts.
  • Maintains a cordial, friendly, respectful attitude to all SFSC staff, students, prospective students, and community, exhibiting good communication skills and cooperation.
  • Acts in accordance with local, state, and federal laws/regulations as well as College policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Experiential: Minimum of three (3) years of clerical/secretarial experience required.

Other: Experience in word processing and spreadsheets required.

Reports To: Controller

Posting Date: February 19, 2026

Starting Annual Salary Range: $34,592 - $36,550 ($16.63 - $17.57 per hour)
